Welcome to the official website of the Shadowkings Trilogy by Michael Cobley. Part III of the trilogy, Shadowmasque, was published in June 2005 by Simon & Schuster in trade pb edition, and the mass-market paperback is now available from S&S / Pocket Books, priced £6.99

Update July 2006

Well, a tidal outflow of water has passed beneath the Cobley bridge since my last update. Time I sent forth another despatch into the wild and webby reaches of the Internet: a publication announcement.

Yes, for at last the papberback edition of Shadowmasque will land, fully-formed and gorgeously-jacketed, on bookshelves up and down the nation; a dark and gothic tale of intricate intrigue and minatory motives, not to mention a tankerload of magick-drenched battle and drama. Yes, it is the 3rd part of the Shadowkings trilogy but it is possible to read it as a stand-alone piece, although you'll get much more of the references if you've read the previous 2 volumes.

It might interest you to know that Shadowmasque got onto the Recommended list of the British Fantasy Society's award for best novel, but since the winners are yet to be announced I remain in the dark as to how the book has placed. Further updates on this will appear on my Shadowjournal blog.

For those curious as to the future of the Shadowkings saga, all I can say at the moment is that there may be other tales to tell but not for a while. In the meantime I shall be focussing on a new project about which I'll be saying a lot more in the near future.
